Mattia Zanchetta is an 19 years old Italian under 19 international who stands at 1.89m tall. He stands out for his passing ability, connecting the defensive sector with the offensive sector and breaking the pressure lines through short or long passes. Defensively, he shows good positional sense and is strong in offensive transitions, revealing good tackling skills.

Tall left footed defensive midfielder (189cm), physically strong, fast and with a wide stride. He has a good relationship with the ball, is calm with the ball at his feet and is able to manage the pace of the game, speeding up or pausing when necessary, and distributes the ball well, demonstrating good decision-making. He shows an ability to get down  on the field to build up and demonstrates good exit with the ball in the first phase of construction, connecting the defensive sector with the offensive sector well. He shows quality in terms of breaking pressure lines through passing, being vertical in these moments, connecting well within the opponent's structure. He shows skill in long passes, in deep passes and when in more lateral areas he demonstrates quality in crossing. Defensively he is an intelligent player, he has a good positional sense which allows him to occupy spaces well. He is strong in defensive transition situations, as he controls depth well and has the ability to stop a quick attack through his good reading of the game and disarming. Intelligent athlete who shows good vision of the game and has leadership characteristics. Its weak point is the use of its weaker foot. Player with potential who has not yet had the opportunity to debut for the main team, but has already been called up and usually trains with the main team. Next season he should do pre-season with the Nerazzurri first team and his debut will not be long in coming. He could eventually be loaned to a Serie A club to gain experience and later have the opportunity to join the first team.
