Mauro Furtado
Mauro Furtado is a 16 years old Portuguese under 17 international who stands at 1.81m tall. He stands out for his offensive ability with the ball, being able to break lines through short and long passes and dribbling. He has a good positional sense, has good tackling ability, recovering possession on several occasions.

Athletic central defender, physically strong and quick on the move. He is an intelligent player, who reads the game well and has a good positional sense, always occupying spaces well. He is strong in physical duels and in defensive 1v1 situations where he demonstrates skill in disarming and intercepting. Offensively, he shows good relationship with the ball, ease of playing with both feet and adds quality in the first phase of construction, playing well with good vision of the game. He demonstrates the ability to break the lines of pressure, whether through passing, by connecting well inside the opponent's structure and long passing to vary the center of play, as well as through aggressive driving and reaching the area. He is good under pressure from opponents, showing good dribbling and then connecting well with teammates. He demonstrates a strong shot from medium distance when he reaches the area and takes over set pieces, especially in the corners on the right side. His weak point is that he sometimes overdoes his driving and dribbling, which can endanger his goal if he loses possession. A player with potential who usually plays for the U17 and U19 teams and has already made his debut for the Reds' second team. In the near future, I see him developing his skills in one of the best academies in the world, such as Seixal, and later becoming a possible choice for Benfica's first team.
